Eli Wilner & Company Creates Fine Replica Frames for 57th Annual NYC Winter Antiques Show
Online, January 26, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Eli Wilner and Company, the 'frame sommelier' who has been influential in framing some of the most important masterpieces in the world, is honored to have been chosen to create a variety of frames and easels for the 57th Annual Winter Antiques Show, taking place January 21st-January 30th at the Park Avenue Armory.
Eli Wilner and Company is proud to provide eight custom-made frames and easels for the duration of the 10-day exhibition. The easels were designed especially for the event and allow the frames to appear to float as they have no cross brace or diagonal supports. A majority of the frames will be displayed at the highly-anticipated "Designing with Antiques" where three of the country's top designers, including Eileen Kathryn Boyd, Philip Gorrivan and Harry Heissmann will be selecting key pieces from the show exhibitors, along with pieces from their own collections for three different rooms, including a living room, dining room and bedroom. "Designing with Antiques" is sponsored by The Magazine ANTIQUES and is free and open to the public during the Winter Antiques Show.
Eli's passion and keen eye for period framing make him the ideal choice for this most significant and prestigious antiques art show in America, which will be seen by thousands of curators, collectors and designers.
The Winter Antiques Show marks its 57th year of featuring the "best of the best" from antiquities through the 1960s. Held at the historic Park Avenue Armory in New York City, the Show provides visitors the chance to view and purchase exceptional pieces showcased by 75 exhibitors. One-third of the Show's exhibitors are specialists in Americana, with the rest featuring English, European, and Asian fine and decorative arts.
The Winter Antiques Show is an annual benefit for East Side House Settlement, a community resource in the South Bronx. East Side House's programs focus on education and technology as gateways out of poverty and as the keys to economic opportunity. All revenues from the show's general admissions and the net proceeds from the preview parties and other events go East Side House and contribute substantially to its private philanthropic budget.
