EV-Charge America Is Deploying Multiple Level II EV Charging Stations for The City Of San Antonio, TX

EV-Charge America has been contracted to supply and install multiple Level II EV charging stations within 3 San Antonio municipal parking facilities

Las Vegas, NV - As a centerpiece of San Antonio's "Build San Antonio Green Program", EV-Charge America has been contracted to supply and install multiple Level II EV charging stations within 3 San Antonio municipal parking facilities. Bob Rosinski, CEO of EV-Charge America states "We are so pleased to be part of this exciting effort and look forward to seeing our Charge Netâ„¢ charging stations up and running soon in San Antonio".

As the rollouts begin during the first quarter of 2011, EV-Charge America has begun to ramp up production of its Multi-vehicle, Level II Ground Mounted Charging Stations and Dual vehicle, Wall Mounted Charging Stations in its Las Vegas manufacturing facilities, to ensure they can deliver the very first EVSE (Electrical Vehicle Supply Equipment) in San Antonio and many other cities worldwide.

"The Nissan Leaf (Europe's Car of the Year for 2011) and the Chevy Volt (Motor Trend's Car of the Year) plug-in vehicles are currently shipping to consumers. The all new Ford Focus and numerous other Electric Vehicles are scheduled to launch later in 2011. There could not be a better time to ramp up EVSE production and help the communities across the country build out the needed EV infrastructure prior to their arrival", says Rosinski.

As demand for EVs grow and automakers respond to this demand, the development of a seamless, user-friendly and nationwide network of easily accessible charging stations for EV owners becomes a necessity to remove the fear of "range anxiety" and allow drivers to search for available charging stations using Google Maps accessible to them during their commutes.

Rosinski believes that "In addition to the environmental benefits of EV's, there is also the positive and undeniable fact that electricity prices are relatively stable and domestically produced, as opposed to the ever rising price of foreign oil and gasoline." These factors are strong arguments for American consumers to consider the move to EV's and participate directly in making a positive impact on the environment. It's really a win-win situation."

For ease of use, each EV driver who subscribes to an EVCA account is given a key ring size RFID Tag, (Radio Frequency IDentification) tag which is momentarily scanned at the charging station to start a charging session. Other methods of operation include signing up on-line, or using a hand held devise such as a Blackberry, iPhone, or Droid to initiate and/or arrange for charging station reservations prior to arriving at any station location."

The City of San Antonio is demonstrating that they are leading the way by installing these publicly accessible charging stations in multiple municipal parking facilities in the city hall area. This visionary effort will provide the needed EV infrastructure commuters need to return to fully charged vehicles at the end of their work day or business activities.

In closing, Rosinski states "It is through this ground-breaking environmental type of deployment, as demonstrated by San Antonio, that a sustainable and viable economic and environmental model can be achieved.
