Experienced Realtor Builds on Local Roots

Online, March 27, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Kathy Laswick, a successful, award-winning real estate agent with RE/MAX Excalibur Realty, has become the new designated broker of the franchise. With nearly 20 years of real estate experience, Laswick has a deeply rooted understanding of the needs of home buyers and sellers in Arizona.

"Kathy has lived in the area since 1978 and has been a part of the Excalibur team for more than 11 years," said Roland Johnson, a former RE/MAX Excalibur Realty owner and the retiring designated broker. "Leadership, integrity, passion, determination and trust, was what this office was structured around and she'll continue to raise the bar."

Laswick earned her real estate license in 1993 and has been thriving in her career ever since. She worked at a handful of other brokerages before landing at RE/MAX Excalibur Realty in 2001. In honor of her professionalism and hard-work, Laswick was presented with the Executive Club award in 2010 and 2011, from RE/MAX, LLC. More recently, Laswick became a member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and is now listed among the top 2 percent of RE/MAX agents. With her new role, she is shifting her focus to being a full-time, non-competing designated broker for RE/MAX Excalibur.

"This was an ideal opportunity to move forward with such a well-known brand," Laswick said. "The housing market is now moving in the right direction, both nationally and locally. We're here to help Arizona families find a home that suits their needs, and that's what we'll continue to do."

In addition to a successful professional career, Laswick enjoys volunteering her time in her community. She is a member of both the Scottsdale Women's Council of Realtors and the Scottsdale Area Association of Realtor's Board of Directors. Laswick also supports the Lockbox for Seniors program, which provides lockboxes for emergency personnel to gain access to senior citizens' homes after being notified of an emergency situation.
