FORE School of Management, New Delhi to Host GENESIS 2013 on a Much Grander Scale

Online, November 19, 2013 (Newswire.com) - It's that time of year when FORE School of Management, New Delhi hosts its annual fest GENESIS, and it promises to be an extravaganza to remember this year as well. To be held on the FORE campus on 22nd and 23rd November, the event is expected to attract management students from all over the country. GENESIS has grown in stature and drawing power amongst students over the years and this year, the festival intends to be bigger and better.

"Great Minds Converge Here" is the tagline for this year's event and that will be put to the test when some of the interesting contests get underway. FORE School of Management, New Delhi has always believed in instilling a lot more than management mantras into its students. It strives to boost creativity and mental agility amongst them as well. According to Prof. Himanshu Joshi (Chairman - Student Affairs), "GENESIS is a platform for our students to interact with their contemporaries from other colleges. Students not only participate, they are fully involved in organising and managing the events. This of course gives them exposure to various fields and boosts their overall growth."

This philosophy will be reflected in the events that are in store for participants over two days. But of course a lot of fun is to be had while participants indulge in mind games and play for the pride of their schools. Team Nexus of Fore School of Management, New Delhi is keeping no stone unturned to ensure that the event is a roaring success. Shivna Jain, PGDM, 2012-2014 of the organizing team says, "GENESIS 2012 set the bar high and we want to go one better. It's a huge responsibility but we are up to the task. We invite our friends from all over the country to come here and have a ball of a time."

Some of the perennial favourite events are back this year too, like Corporate Buddha for example. The goal is to become the "Buddha" of the corporate world and there are several online and offline rounds to shortlist candidates. The Great Debaters, a two-member team event, tests contestants' debating skills and they have to defend their opinions through a volley of questions thrown at them. FORE School of Management, New Delhi had bagged top prizes in both these competitions, along with a few others, last year. So the stakes are a lot higher this year and the competition is likely to be intense.

Besides the regular favourites, there are new events that have been added to the list, according to Prof. Joshi. "This year, GENESIS is coming up with Markathon organised by SIGMA (Special Interest Group Marketing) and the Argumentative Indian organized by FOREWORD," he says. They are bound to generate a lot of interest amongst participants this year.

Prerna is another talked about event as it will inspire contestants, to say the least. A case study competition, it will give them an opportunity to study a real life scenario and offer possible alternatives. Marketing case studies will be focused upon during Crescendo and contestants will have to analyse them before offering the best possible solution. Being at the top of their game in front of management gurus judging the competition will be all the motivation that contestants are going to need.

Kurukshetra, Markwiz, Tradathon and The Amazing Race are some of the other marquee events that will continue to have impact at GENESIS 2013. Clearly, the contests have been designed to test out-of-the-box thinking, presence of mind and leadership qualities in the management professionals of tomorrow. And while the contestants play for the pride of their respective schools, they will also have their eyes on the attractive prizes to be won. Amidst all this, GENESIS promises to be loaded with fun extravaganzas as well. Participants can let their hair down and have a ball during the DJ Night, which will be the fitting finale to the fun-filled two days.

This is the 22nd edition of the annual event that has gone from strength to strength over the years. GENESIS 2013 hopes to take things to a higher level, which can only be a treat worth waiting for.
