Gardenbird.co.uk Expand Cold Weather Feeding Range

Online, February 15, 2013 (Newswire.com) - During the winter birds require a lot more calories, primarily to counteract the energy used in staying warm and air bound during hostile, sparse conditions. To help support their customers gardenbird.co.uk are substantially expanding their range of cold weather feeding products.

A representative from the company was available to comment on the expansion of their stock, and the reasons for carrying it out. 'Essentially, we're constantly trying to service our customers as best as we can. Winter sees vast changes in the nutritional requirements of birds. Where around 45% migrate to coastal Africa and France, those remaining need substantially more fat in denser quantities. To help our customers sustain birds appropriately and efficiently we're expanding our ranges of suet cakes and black oil sunflower seeds.'

Suet is a mixture of beef and lamb fat, commonly moulded into balls and cakes for bird feeding. Small and large birds alike are able to break slivers off, and intuitive bird feeders will often mix in peanuts and mealworms to increase the protein levels of the cake. For enthusiasts seeking an all-purpose way to keep any birds insulated during the winter suet is extremely appropriate, so the company are expanding their range of sizes and mixtures substantially.

Black oil sunflower seeds are popular among most breeds of bird, with thin shells allowing them to be eaten by even small birds. They have 28% fat content due to high levels of oil, making them into good feeding solutions for owners who don't wish to invest in a suet feeder.

Gardenbird.co.uk are a supplier of bird feeding products, feeds and accessories operating out of the heart of Leyland. They're sure not only to stock excellent, well-rounded feeding products but also to expand the relevant seasonal ranges when they feel consumers demand it. By expanding their cold weather feeding products they hope to see their customers satisfied over the colder months.
