George Foreman Big Secret

George's Big Secret - Integrity. Most importantly to George Foreman, his life is meaningful... And that spells 'Integrity'.

You thought Michael Jordan's $40 million deal with Nike was out of this world, right? Well, think again. In the everyday world of mundane versus exotic, the everyday stuff wins every time. Why? Because that's what people are buying!
In 1999, George Foreman signed a $137.5 million deal with Applica, Inc. formerly Salton Inc. entitling the manufacturer to unrestricted use of the George Foreman name in marketing the Lean, Mean, Fat-Reducing Grilling Machine. Wow! Who would have thought... GRILLS...
George is one of the highest paid celebrity endorsers in the world with over 100 million grills with his name on them being sold since 1995.
Before endorsing grills, George was making a lot of celebrity endorsements... sausages and all kinds of stuff... and doing quite well. But with the grills, George knocked one out of the park.
With the grill business George boosted sales by taking grills all over the country and made personal appearances. Personal contact is what does it according to Foreman. Meeting people face to face and shaking hands is the way to go and people were ecstatic about the road to a healthy lifestyle. George says he felt rewarded by making a difference in people's health. A grill shedding the grease is a big plus in people's lives and George was part of this low fat revolution.
He says that this makes his life meaningful. George's Gas Charcoal Barbeque Grills are making a difference in people's health and he love's it.
George wasn't always 'on top', he was born in 1949 in Marshall, Texas, as one of seven children and when he was a teen he was a street thug n the bad part of Houston. However, in 1968 his life changed when he won the Olympic Gold medal in Mexico City.
George's record of 37 wins and no losses was unequalled. He even beat Joe Frazier to become heavyweight champion of the world. He defended the title twice before losing to Muhammad Ali in 1974.
Foreman became religious and retired to become active in his local church in Marshall. He was a relentless evangelist spending many hours preaching in the streets of Houston. A real life role model, George was successful at all his endeavors and in 1984 opened The George Foreman Youth & Community Center, which offers scholastic and athletic aid to the under privileged.
However, ten years after he retired George found himself broke. He then returned to the boxing ring which was the only way he knew to make a living and won the heavyweight title back at the age of forty four. A rare feat.
George learned early on that there was a brand of George Foreman and that he needed to protect quality of his name and once they get to know you they believe in you and they count on you.

Foreman says people with integrity are in high demand and that integrity is a lasting thing whereas fame can be a fleeting thing. It evaporates. So integrity is George's main asset other than Gas Charcoal Barbeque Grill
