Here Comes the Sun
Online, June 26, 2012 (Newswire.com) - At the Hopi Old Oraibi Village in Northern Arizona, author Roland Aranjo gave a presentation and dedicated his book, Here Comes the Sun, to the creation of the Orayvi Art and Culture Center. The presentation topic, Here Comes the Sun - Massive Solar Storms, described the science behind solar storms and how we can be prepared for them. Massive solar storms, known as space weather, cause damage to modern technologies - satellites, GPS, power grids, communications, air traffic and space travel. At the dedication of his book, Aranjo stated, "This will be our opportunity to experience oneness, while living in sustainable communities."
Scientists, U.S. military intelligence and Hopi elders agree that a series of massive solar storms will soon impact planet earth, causing geological, physical and spiritual effects. All agree that immediate action is required at the national and local level to survive these life altering events. At the urging of scientists, the House of Representatives in 2010 unanimously passed the GRID Act to reinforce the nation's vulnerable power grid. The legislation has since stalled in the U.S. Senate, now called the SHIELD Act, because of the power industry's association, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation's (NERC), opposition to federal involvement in grid security. Physist Dr. Michio Kaku, author of Physics of the Future, stressed on FOX news "scientists have been telling Congress we have to reinforce our power stations."
The sun, 93 million miles away, is in solar cycle 24, the peak of which will occur in 2013.. Every eleven years the sun reverses its electromagnetic poles, causing an increase of sun spots. Active sun spots produce solar flares, x-rays, gamma-rays, radiation and coronal mass ejections (CME). These coronal mass ejections are electromagnetically charged plasmas that travel to earth in 12-48 hours, which can cause widespread technological damage. For instance, the 1859 Carrington Event, the first observed solar storm, caused telegraph systems worldwide to lose power. Space Weather Prediction Center's Director Tom Bogdan said to the National Geographic, "What's at stake are the advanced technologies that underlie virtually every aspect of our lives."
On Tuesday, June 5, 2012 in Washington D.C. there was a forum for U.S. federal agencies, the Space Weather Enterprise Forum, with the stated goal to improve the nation's ability to prepare for, avoid, mitigate, respond to, and recover from the potentially devastating impacts of space weather events on our health, economy, and national security. Retired military intelligence officer, Major Ed Dames, in his movie The Killshot, stated, "National governments are now preparing for a series of massive solar storms."
Orayvi Hopi Elder urged, "It is time to live the natural way, in sustainable communities." Author Roland Aranjo has thirty years of experience in sustainable entrepreneurship, local government and political campaigns.
