Homeopathy treats viral infections successfully

Homeopathy has a lot to offer in the treatment of viral infections too, where other systems of medicine fail to treat effectively or offer only symptomatic relief, whilst producing a number of adverse reactions that make the patient weak and increase

Mrs. Manasi Kulkarni (name changed to protect identity), a 45-year-old lady, was a known case of bronchial asthma along with high blood pressure.

She had opted for allopathic treatment and was taking anti-hypertensive medications for her high blood pressure since two years. However, she suddenly developed rashes on her body and fever with chills, especially in the evenings. She suffered from malaise, headache, vomiting, breathlessness, soreness in the chest, and severe body ache. At her husband's behest, she visited Dr. Batra's® Positive Health Clinic.

At Dr. Batra's® Clinic, the doctor reviewed her complete medical history. A thorough general and systemic examination revealed oedema of both her legs and an increase in her body temperature. She was also advised to get her complete blood cell count done, which reported a reduction in her W.B.C count and Platelets. The W.B.C count was 3,400/cu mm (normal value: 4000-1100/cu mm) and the platelet count was 74,000/cu mm (normal value: 1.5 lacs to 4.5 lacs). On the basis of this report, she was suspected to be suffering from dengue and the diagnosis was confirmed by a special blood test.

Dengue is a viral infection that is transmitted through the bite of an infected aedes mosquito, particularly A. aegypti and A. albopictus. The platelet count in the human body drops considerably and can cause severe bleeding (internal or external), which can lead to death. She was prescribed the homeopathic medicine Eupatorium perfoliatum 200C and within three days, her fever and vomiting subsided. Her vitals such as temperature, pulse, B.P. and urine output were regularly monitored along with a thorough examination to watch out for any internal or external bleeding or signs and symptoms of dengue shock syndrome. Her platelet count, which was monitored every three days, kept increasing consistently to eventually become normal.

She got completely cured of dengue only with the help of homeopathic medicines. Within two weeks, her overall health improved. Thus, Homeopathy has a lot to offer in the treatment of viral infections too, where other systems of medicine fail to treat effectively or offer only symptomatic relief, whilst producing a number of adverse reactions that make the patient weak and increase the recovery time in general.
