International Space and Defense Giant Triples Its Investment in DataDrill Software

The business provides end-to-end services for large-scale systems that combine sophisticated communication networks with air, land, sea and space-based platforms for military, government and commercial customers. Since its original purchase of DataDrill software, the global giant has invested in four additional programs, each with the capability to support hundreds of projects across the enterprise.
The majority of these projects are housed in classified research and development environments.

"Each project and business area, particularly high-security areas, wants individually customized information," says Distributive Management's Peter Baxter. "Using additional DataDrill portals, they can centralize and standardize measurement reporting, gaining exceptional visibility across the enterprise while in no way compromising the integrity of each program's performance reporting."

The company has also made a move to convert some its DataDrill licenses to a more flexible, floating license structure. Floating licenses are a cost-effective way to support multiple executive and manager users across projects, programs and geographical locations. "Their strategic deployment decisions allow a far greater number of programs and users to benefit from automated measurement system technology, greatly reducing the collection and reporting burdens and increasing accessibility to decision-information," adds Baxter.
