IRS opens office in Moscow
Online, September 1, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Rotterdam, the Netherlands, 31 august 2009 - IRS opens on 1st of September its Moscow office. The office will provide, like the IRS office in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, solutions for integrity and business continuity. The opening of this subsidiary in Moscow is the next step in IRS' international expansion.
Non-transparency frustrates success of companies in CIS
The subsidiary of IRS in Moscow is a strategic choice. 'IRS does not only follow the ambition of Moscow to become the second largest financial centre in Europe. We do anticipate on the issues in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) regarding business ethics, corporate governance and business culture. This non-transparency makes it challenging to be successful in the CIS', said Aart Bloemheuvel, founder and managing partner IRS. 'In this challenging environment the financial investigators of IRS can solve issues and disputes between business partners, for example between joint-venture partners, business partners and contractual disputes. For this, we have extensive experience in Forensic Services and Investigations, as well as IT Forensics. Furthermore, IRS will concentrate on business intelligence and integrity investigations related to transactions. In addition, IRS Moscow will focus on restructuring and reorganisations, especially where western stakeholders are involved and a trusted, independent party is needed to 'Enable Real Trust' , adds Gerard Uijtendaal, director IRS Moscow en Managing Partner IRS CIS & CEE.
Henno de Kruijk, director security risk management, emphasises: 'especially for large construction and infrastructural projects, for example the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, managing business risks is of paramount importance. IRS has unique expertise in this field.'
The IRS subsidiary in Moscow, which will concentrate on the markets in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, brings IRS a step close to its ambition to become the largest independent provider of forensic services and business continuity in Europe. In the future, IRS expects to expand further into Central Europe and South-East Europe.
