Jan And Lou: 21st Century Paladins

Online, April 15, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Long before Amelie Couremer set foot on the Golden State, she was playing hide-and-seek with the korrigans (spirits and fairy-like creatures from Breton folklore) in her native Brittany. With her brother, they would create a world of their own, roaming the forest-like groves and discovering the different residents there. From these adventurous early years, Jan and Lou found their roots.

When asked how she came up with the characters, Couremer replied: "Jan and Lou are as imaginary as our tales were when we were kids. We were telling each other stories that we adamantly wanted real and so we were creating the missing parts to make them come to life. Then we would go home and tell our mom about it as if all had happened. We would keep the characters alive, day in, day out, by getting them to interact in our daily lives. The neighborhood kids would get involved."

Amelie Couremer wrote her first book at 10 and sent it to a publisher. The manuscript came back asking for resubmission in a few years. Convinced by others that writing was not for her, she never did. However, Couremer carried on writing for her classmates and just for the hell of it as she just couldn't help it.

Forty years later, circumstances brought Couremer back to her passion: writing. Words started to jump off the page and soon gave birth to the whole story and so The Seven Riddles of Life - The Path to Success was born.
