Karan Grover, Batch 2010 - 2012 -" Coming Back To Life"

Online, May 8, 2012 (Newswire.com) - "Why do you wish to do an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad?"

"Sir, basically I wish to gain the knowledge and skills required to be a global manager in today's dynamic world where businesses are changing rapidly with the environment. "

Add a few more fancy jargons to that answer and you would be in demand during the orientation week. People would specially come up to you to take your case. The orientation week was characterized by sleep deprived young adults who had entered the gates of the IMT resort with big dreams and the zeal to do something great in life. For me, it was about getting back to enjoying college life after slogging for a year on various highways across the country as a civil engineer. Well, IMT did not fail me.

Having a passion for music, I joined the cultural committee and got introduced to like minded people and musicians alike. Drums, guitars, jamming sessions, parties! Yes, I was back in business! Ziyarat, my band, is something that I take ahead from here. The student exchange program gave me a chance to exploreEuropeand broaden my horizons.

Second year- this is when the true managers in us came out. Or at least that's what we thought! After grueling summer internships there was a mutual understanding in the majority of the batch that the last year of college should be dedicated to 'fun', with the placement week being the only exception to the rule! Dependence on medical certificates and wedding invitations increased and students would be seen playing in the field all day long and partying all night long. The sports fest, Chakravyuh, was simply phenomenal and had something in it for everyone!

So now, I'm asked, "Why did you do an MBA from IMT Ghaziabad?" Well, I don't know about the MBA part, but definitely do know why IMT Ghaziabad!

I almost forgot, I got a job too!

Cheers to IMT!
