New Kickboxing Sanctioning Body
Online, April 17, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Overview
The Universal Kickboxing Council is a new kickboxing sanctioning body that is based out of New York and is charitable by nature and is planning to work with children to keep them in school and promoting exercise. After the fees that the UKC incurs for sanctioning the event, the rest of the sanctioning fee goes to their charity. Along with this, as part of the sanctioning agreement in some cases 5-10% of the ticket sales from the promoter go to the charity as well.
Judging
The Universal Kickboxing Council's judging is broken into two parts. The reason for this is to make the fights more fair and to make sure the winners of the fights are the true winners. The first part is the traditional 10 point must system. The second part is judging the overall fight, where the entire fight is referenced and not each round separately.
Champions
They are looking to do individual fights and touraments to crown the champions.
Media
Television: The Universal Kickboxing Council is arranging a deal with multiple television channels worldwide for each promoter to have the option to televise their event.
Radio: A deal is trying to be arranged by the Universal Kickboxing Council for each promoter to have the option of broadcasting their event around the world by radio.
Marketing: The Universal Kickboxing Council is assisting the promoters of marketing the events with not just promoting the event on their websites, but everything from newspapers, television, radio and promotional materials.
