Roller Derby World Championship Playoffs return to Cow Palace!
Online, August 26, 2009 (Newswire.com) - SF Bay Bombers GM, Jim Fitzpatrick was quoted at a press conference yesterday stating, "We're on track with all the goals we've set these last 2 seasons. Our return to KOFY TV20 - Cable 13 has helped a lot of our old fans rediscover us and gain us plenty of new ones!
Our first aired games garnered us the highest ratings the entire day, even beating out network shows which aired in prime time slots. Returning home to Cow Palace is a dream come true. I skated in the last game the Bombers ever played there in 1983! Just the year before we had won the World Championship there. I've dreamed and waited for this for a long time and I intend to see the Bombers take home the title this September!"
The top 3 teams of the American Roller Skating Derby, Mizzz Georgia Hase's wild Brooklyn Red Devils, Ice Box's dangerous LA FireBirds and Jim Fitzpatrick's defending Champion SF Bay Bombers will meet to decide who takes home the 2008-2009 Roller Derby World Championship Title.
