Artist Trekker is dedicated to the promotion of contemporary visual art by South Asian artists. This is the first exhibition promoting local artists.

Artist Trekker is very pleased to present "The Senses Exhibit," a solo exhibition of an award-winning artist from New York, Khurshid Saleem, followed by a featured artists group exhibition of local emerging artists from Boston. Through paintings and photography, "The Senses Exhibit" presents a week-long event celebrating art and the senses used to experience it.

Someone once said, art communicates through the senses - a chef through taste and smell, a musician through sound, and a visual artist through sight. But they all have one thing in common - they all lead directly to the heart. "The Senses Exhibit" considers these truths as its starting point.

Ed McCormack, who writes for the Rolling Stones says the following about Khurshid Saleem's work, "Some of the more thickly encrusted areas in Saleem's paintings are to be seen and sensuously savored in the bold rectangular forms which are a recurring motif in his compositions. Yet he somehow endows these most materially palpable forms with a paradoxical sense of flotation, of almost mystical suspension, that lends his paintings a peculiarly pregnant beauty, hinting at the metaphysical."

Khurshid Saleem is a Beijing Olympic-2008 Medal awarded artist. His work has been exhibited widely throughout the world.
