The Texas State Library and Archives Commission Awards a TXMAS Contract to Southwest Solutions Group

Online, September 1, 2011 (Newswire.com) - The Texas State Library and Archives Commission has awarded a TXMAS contract to Southwest Solutions Group to provide high capacity micrographic storage cabinets to house microfiche media. The micrographic storage cabinets will allow the Texas State Library and Archives Commission to maximize the storage space of their climate controlled vault. "Engineered vault space is very expensive to construct and maintain, so using innovative storage solutions to maximize every cubic inch of space makes good sense," commented Troy Menchhofer, Southwest Solutions Group's Austin Branch Manager.

Troy Menchhofer worked with Russ Bassett to engineer a double stacking overfile cabinet that enabled additional drawers to be installed on top of an existing cabinet, essentially this created a supersized media cabinet. The new system maximizes the density of the media stored per square foot of space.
