Unzipt Not Playing Wicked Game In Final Show
Online, May 17, 2010 (Newswire.com) - In what can only be described as a "horrible blow" to fans worldwide, Unzipt has announced that their pseudo-quasi-original-song "Wicked Game" will not be on the set list of their last show.
On hearing the news one mortified fan said, "It was one of their first songs they played - and I like the 'Unzipt spin' on the song."
During one of their usual "internal squabbles" (during Monday night's rehearsal) lead singer Justin Davidson said, "Wicked Game is fine for playing in a bar, but not for an outdoor concert." Soon after that comment Unzipt drummer Michael Sugarman (one of the few proponents of the song) said in a press release, "I believe that if this is truly our last concert ever we should kinda deliver a 'retrospective' and that 'Wicked Game' deserves a spot on the set list."
With band tensions already "mildly high" bassist David Costco and guitarist Andy Head both delivered a "No Comment" when pressed by journalists.
In summing up the crux of the controversy a female "devoted follower" had this to say: "Unzipt isn't playing 'Wicked Game'??? That's like Vanilla Ice not playing 'Ice Ice Baby' in his last show!"
